ISEMIR stands for the International Society of Extremity MRI in Rheumatology. The specific purpose of this organization is to bring together, through an educational, nonprofit society, rheumatologists, radiologists and other specialists dedicated to the furtherance of the art and science of magnetic resonance technology as applied to rheumatologic diseases.
Our mission statement for is to provide a means for users, manufacturers and industry to promote matters related to extremity MRI, in particular validation, education, use in clinical practice and research, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcome.
There are five classes of members within ISEMIR: Founding, Regular, Associate, Organizational, and Retired. The society has three committees: Education, Research and Regulatory Affairs.
Regular ISEMIR meetings are held twice a year at the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) meetings.
International Society of Extremity MRI in Rheumatology, INC is a nonprofit public benefit corporation organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for public purposes. The principal office of the Corporation for its transaction of business is located in the City of Los Angeles and County of Los Angeles, California.
